India’s Largest Cellular Network(jio) Plans To Launch An Android Laptop With 4G
According to a Report From xda-Developers, India’s largest mobile network Company has been working with a Chinese engineering to develop an Android-powered notebook called the JioBook that could go on sale in India later this year.
JioBook will basically stuff the guts of a mid-range smartphone into the body of a compact laptop computer. Here are some preliminary specs:
- 1366 x 768 pixel display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor
- 4GB LPDDR4x RAM
- 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage
- Qualcomm Snapdragon X12 4G LTE modem
- WiFi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz)
- Bluetooth
The Covid Outbreak has pushed the demand for laptops across global markets as people are largely working from home to follow social distancing norms. Leading laptop makers including Dell, HP, and Lenovo have already seen significant growth in their laptop shipments in India and other regions around the world. The remote working culture may also help Jio gain further success with its affordable laptop.
It is also reported that the JioBook will come at a very reasonable price, just like the company earlier launched its phone at a cheap price. These laptops will also be low-cost.
